Reverend Berry is a Spirited-filled Christian who loves and fully serves the Lord. As a native of Michigan, Charles E. Berry later moved to the Washington Metropolitan Area where he currently resides with his lovely wife, Delores Berry. Reverend Berry accepted his calling to preach the Gospel on May 31, 1995. He later received his license to minister the Word of Christ as a local preacher under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Wendell M. Oldham, Jr. of Israel Metropolitan CME Church, Washington, DC. Minister Berry attended Washington Saturday College School of Religious Education. On May 30, 1998, he received his Masters of Religious Education. In March 2000, he started and developed the We Care We Share Community Ministry. Today, We Care We Share Community Ministry is known as Ebenezer We Care We Share Community Ministry, and it continues to grow strong and blesses many Washington Metropolitan communities.
Committed to serving others
“October 1999 is when I first met with Pastor, Wendell M. Oldham, Jr., to discuss a program that would provide nourishment to the homeless spiritually and physically. He shared with me that there was a great need in the Washington Metropolitan area communities to feed the homeless. In December 1999, God revealed to me the steps he wanted me to take in order to start this newly designed ministry. January 2000 the first plan for We Care We Share Community Ministry and Outreach was crafted and approved by Pastor Oldham, Jr. However, I needed ten people to sign-up and work with me in the ministry to begin the program, which was obtainable. On March 10, 2000, I was given authorization and blessings to start We Care We Share Community Ministry and Outreach.”
